"Countless times we are hit with awful things. The reason we are hit with these is because we have a huge calling over our life. We are tested with the worst and judged on our reactions. So, we can sit back and take all the bad, let it ruin our lives, or we can reach out and know that with what we are hit with, we can always remember that they are forming and shaping our destiny, which is so great! Preparing us for our destiny, if you will! Anyone who can change the world cannot until they have been hit by the world first!"

Not Just Any Marigold!

The Hamilton Ribbon of Hope Pilot will be planted with the beautiful 'Yellow Treasure' variety. It's French name 'Oeillet D'Inde', or Carnations of India, better describe their character. These particular marigolds bloom profusely and resemble carnation blossoms. By mid-summer on the hill facing the QEW and the Red Hill Expressway there will be a profusion of thousands and thousands of carnation-like flowers reminding millions of passersby that we must HOPE!
On that note, this is not just HOPE for a cancer cure, but HOPE for all of the challenges facing us in life.
Rest assured that families and friends of those military bravely serving us, especially abroad, will gaze upon this first Ribbon of Hope and NEVER forget Hamilton, Ontario!
